About us

Burford Surgery is the last building on the left at the end of Sheep Street. The premises were purpose-built in 1986 and offer easy access, good car parking facilities and a spacious waiting room.

Burford Surgery is fortunate to still be able to provide ‘old fashioned’ GP patient care, focusing on continuity of care underpinned through personal lists. The practice has a list size of 7200. Our clinical team comprises of 2 GP partners, 2 salaried doctors and a full complement of ANP and nursing staff. We are also complimented with ARRS staff, enabling us to offer appointments with a physio, MIND worker and mental health practitioner, all based at the surgery.

We dispense to about 2200 patients and have the support of a team of clinical pharmacists who complete medication queries and reviews, prescribing and hospital discharges.

We are a training practice providing training as part of the Oxford Deanery to medical students, FY and ST trainees.

We operate a branch surgery at Carterton Health Centre.

Access and toilet facilities are appropriate for the disabled.

For more information about the Practice, please view our Practice Information Leaflet.

Donations

Occasionally patients wish to make a donation to the practice. We are always very grateful for these donations which are banked in a separate Burford patients’ account and used to benefit all patients.

Recently we have bought a number of blood pressure machines for home monitoring and a syringe-driver for home pain control.
