COVID VACCINE BOOSTER UPDATE

We are delighted to announce that we will shortly be starting our COVID vaccine booster programme. Please do not be in touch with the surgery as we will contact you via text/email (or phone if neither of these are listed with the surgery). We are not able to invite you until at least 180 days have passed since your second covid vaccine. Please note that all boosters will be with the Pfizer vaccine irrespective of whether you had Pfizer or Astra Zeneca for your first two doses unless there is a specific reason you cannot have Pfizer.

As you are aware General Practice is having unprecedented demand at present and in order to offer the covid boosters at the same time as maintaining our usual service this is causing a significant stretch on our already exhausted staff. Please can we ask that you be patient and wait for us to be in touch regarding your booster. It is for these reasons that we will only be offering the booster to our most vulnerable patients in Cohorts 1 to 4 only (over 70s and extremely vulnerable i.e. those that have had to shield). If you are not in these cohorts you will be invited to book in via the national booking system once your 180 days have passed. Please note that this time around there are several of these sites in the neighbouring areas and you should hopefully not have to travel too far. Thank you for your understanding and ongoing support.

If you have been invited for you booster please download and bring your vaccination screening/consent form.
